Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Before submitting a manuscript in Biology Natural Resources Journal, the author must ensure that the manuscript must be adjusted and checked with the provisions of this journal writing. The following is a Biology Natural Resources Journal for the author.

General Guidelines

  1. The manuscript is the result of research in the field of education that is under the focus and scope of Biology Natural Resources Journal and has never been published in another journal.
  2. Manuscripts should discuss education themes for the Education of Indonesia, Education of English, Islamic Education, Education of Physic, Education of Biology, Education of Chemistry, Education of Mathematics, Natural Science Education and Social Science Education. Biology Natural Resources Journal do not accept and publish articles on elementary school and Early Childhood Education
  3. Authors can first register at Biology Natural Resources Journal here.
  4. The author must pay attention to the article template. It will be rejected if the submitted manuscript does not match the template or uses a different format. The editor only accepts manuscripts that match the format.
  5. Article writing follows the IMRAD system (Introduction, Method, Results, and Discussions)
  6. Manuscripts are written on A4 paper with an article length of about 4000-7000 words (not including bibliography). Manuscripts are written in Book Antiqua font type, size 12, single spaced with margins: Up = 3 cm; Left = 3 cm; Right = 2 cm; Bottom = 2 cm.
  7. Manuscripts are uploaded in English (preferred) or Indonesian or Arabic on Microsoft Words 2003 and above, OpenOffice, RTF, or WordPerfect file format. Not accepting manuscripts in PDF format. Manuscripts can be submitted here.
  8. The number of references used is at least 25, which consists of 80% of scientific journal articles, a maximum of the last 5 years.
  9. Similarity is checked using Turnitin with a maximum percentage of 30%.
  10. The manuscript will go through a peer-review process and will be published in English/Arabic.

Writing Manuscripts

  1. Title, written in an informative, clear and concise manner; describe the article's contents and do not use uncommon abbreviations. Writing titles using Book Antiqua, size 14, single-spaced, bold, centered and a maximum of 15 words.
  2. The author's name written completely without a title, under the article's title. Write the author's name using Book Antiqua, size 12, bold and centered. Authors with more than one, can be written under the previous author's affiliation.
  3. Author affiliation, written for each author with the format name of study program, institution, province and country, using Book Antiqua, size 11, single-spaced, and centered. Example: Education of Physics Study Program, Antasari State Islamic University, South Kalimantan, Indonesia.
  4. Correspondence Author, active email from one of the authors and it is recommended to use institutional email.
  5. Abstract, contains the backgroundresearch objectivesresearch methodsresults and discussionconclusions and implications of the results obtained. The number of words in the abstract is 150-200 words with Book Antiquasize 11, single-spaced, justified.
  6. Key Words, consisting of 3-5 words or phrases, written in alphabetically, show important words from article’s title.
  7. Introduction, contains the background of the research problem, research objectives and a bit about theoretical studies. In this introductory section, the state of the art of the article must appear so that the research being carried out is indeed necessary. The introduction is written from general to specific statements concerning the latest article journal (last 5 years). The introduction is written up to 2 pages. The final paragraph of this section must state the purpose of the research being conducted. 
  8. Research Method, includes the research design, subject-object or population-research sample, research instruments, data collection and analysis techniques. It would be great and interesting if this research method section were added to a chart or flow in data collection to data analysis.
  9. Results and Discussion, contains research data obtained after data collection and elaboration of the study from the research results that have been analyzed and must be supported by previous theory. Results and Discussion are written separately, by presenting the results of the research first, then the Discussion
  10. Conclusion, contains the conclusions of research results and suggestions that the author can give. The conclusions must align  with or conclude from the research objectives.
  11. Acknowledgments, can be addressed to specific parties, such as research sponsors or grant-making agencies. Speak clearly and briefly and not exaggerated or flowery.
  12. References,  are written in full, according to the references in the body of the article, and vice versa. A bibliography must be consistent and under the APA (American Psychological Association) Style standard.

 

Writing Tables and Figures

Writing a table can follow the following instructions:

  1. Tables are numbered according to the order
  2. Table titles are written in the center of the page, above the table and in Bold
  3. The table must be located in the middle (centered)
  4. Table captions are written in the table section
  5. The font is Book Antiqua, size 10, single spaced

 Writing figure and graph can follow the following instructions:

  1. The figure or graphic is placed in the center (centered)
  2. Figures and charts must have a title with a number in sequence
  3. The title is placed below the figures and graphics with the type Book Antiqua, size 10, single spaced, centered.
  4. Figures or graphics used must be clear, not blurry and have good resolution

 Citations and Bibliography/References

  • Written in full, according to the references in the body of the article, and vice versa.
  • A bibliography must be consistent and under the APA (American Psychological Association) Style standard
  • Reference sources of at least 80% are literature published in the last 5 years with a minimum number of 25.
  • Referrals of at least 80% are in the form of research articles in journals and refer to articles in Biology Natural Resources Journal.
  • Reference sources must include at least 5 reputable international journals.
  • Writing a book bibliography can follow the order: author's name (if more than one word, last name used as the entry), year, book title (italics), city of publisher, and publisher.
  • Bibliography of journal articles: author's name, number/year, article title (between two quotation marks), journal name (italics), pages; for referrals from the internet plus access date and web.
  • Using Management References Tools such as Zotero or Mendeley or others is mandatoryfor writing references and a bibliography.
