Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit a manuscript should pay attention to the points below. If the manuscript does not meet the requirements listed, it may be returned.
1. The submission has not been previously published, or is under consideration by another journal (or an explanation has not been provided in comments to the editor).
2. The manuscript file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
3. Where available, URLs for references have been provided.
4. Text is 1 space; font 12; italic; not underlined (except URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, not at the end.
5. Text that complies with library and stylistic requirements is outlined in the Instructions for Authors, which can be found on the About Us page.
6. If acceptance is for the peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring Anonymous Reviewers have been followed.
