Abstrak

Numerical thinking ability is the skill of counting numbers to hone the understanding of ideas and concepts in the form of numbers so that they can think to solve problems on a question. The research objectives: (1) To know more deeply about the literature study on the problems of numerical thinking skills of junior high school students. (2) to know and understand more deeply about the difficulties of junior high school students in learning mathematics. The research method is library research. Library research is a research activity using data collection techniques (Sari & Asmendri in Hasanudin, et al., 2020). Sourced from books (Maruta, 2017) and several articles in journals (Tahmidaten & Krismanto, 2020). It can be concluded that the problems in students' numerical thinking skills are problems in systematically, problems in determining the concept of solving by reasoning, problems in determining formulas for solving, problems in understanding symbols and strategies for solving, problems in understanding story problems in mathematics, and problems in logical thinking. in mathematical solutions.
